Tickets for the inaugural Music Producers Guild (MPG) Awards, which will take place on the 12th February 2009 at the Café de Paris in London, have gone on sale.
On the night of the Awards, the work of engineers, producers and studios will be celebrated, with the winners of 13 award categories announced. An Unsung Hero category gives the recording industry the chance to congratulate a member of the ‘backroom staff’, who rarely get public recognition.
The Best Producer award is being awarded by both the MPG and the BPI (British Phonographic Industry), and the winner of this category will be awarded with a Brit Award, the ceremony for which will take place on the 18th February.
