American software designers launch education program
American plug-in designers McDowell Signal Processing (McDSP) have launched a worldwide education program, to give students and faculty staff better access to their range of plug-ins for Pro Tools. As part of the scheme, 75 institutions worldwide — including Gateway School of Recording and Bath Spa University in the UK, and Berklee College of Music and The Univerity of Colorado in the USA — have been given hands-on training with McDSP products, along with suite of plug-ins for use by students and staff.

McDSP have also announced an academic discount program, which gives educational users discount on the Project Studio bundle, allowing them to purchase it for just $295 (around £155) — a $200 saving on the full bundle price.

To apply, visit McDSP's web site and download the student discount order form, or request one by email from orders@mcdsp.com.

Included in the Project Studio bundle are LE versions of Analog Channel, Chrome Tone, Compressor Bank, Filter Bank, ML4000, Revolver and Synthesizer One, which are all great additions to any Pro Tools LE or M-Powered system.
