Millennia's flagship multichannel preamp, the HV-316, is now compatible with Apple computers, in addition to Windows. Why would a microphone preamp require computer compatibility? Well, in addition to sporting either 8 or 16 top-tier preamps and A-D converters, the HV-316 can be remotely controlled using Millennia's AELogic software, and it's this that has been ported to Mac OS.
AELogic offers complete control over all of the preamp's functions, including gain, phantom power, high-pass filtering, padding and so on. Connection to computers is via Ethernet, and Pro Tools users get the option to control the preamp from directly within their DAW.
AELogic for Mac OS can be downloaded at the URL below, and the preamp itself is available to buy for $5300 for the 16-channel version, or $3500 in its short-loaded 8-channel form.
