The Music Producers Guild (MPG) have announced their plans for this year’s MPG Awards, which will be taking place on 25 April 2024 at a new venue, The Troxy, in London, UK. This year will also see the MPG partner with Mix With The Masters, a move which the organisations say will bring a fresh outlook to the event’s content and provide Mix With The Masters with an opportunity to expand and feature UK-based talent in the future.
The Awards
Now in their 16th year, the Awards celebrate the best of the talent working behind the scenes in the British music industry, and with 650 individual nominations — double the amount of last year’s Awards — along with a new voting system, an extensive social media campaign and a new venue with increased capacity, 2024 is set to be the event’s biggest year to date. A shortlist of nominees will be created by MPG Full Members, which will then be presented to the judging panel and announced in March 2024. Winners will then be unveiled at the ceremony in April.
The categories for this year’s awards are as follows:

“After an amazing sellout show last year, we’re excited to present what is going to be our biggest and best yet. It’s clear that the MPG Awards is now firmly one of the premier events of the awards calendar. Ours is the only ceremony in the UK which celebrates the best and brightest in all areas of music production. So, with a growing venue, audience, and now partnerships, this year’s event will establish the MPG Awards’ identity as the premier event for music production. We look forward to seeing you all at The Troxy in April 2024.” - Matt Taylor, MPG Executive Director
MPG Icon Award
The organisation have also announced that the first of their gifted Awards — the prestigious MPG Icon Award — will be presented to five-time Grammy Award-winning mix engineer Alan Moulder, who will receive the award in recognition of his work with the likes of Depeche Mode, U2, My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails and The Smashing Pumpkins.
