Inspiration & Icon gifted awards announced

MPG Awards 2026 Music Producers Guild

The Music Producers Guild (MPG) have announced the recipients of two of this year’s gifted awards. KAMILLE (Camille Purcell) — an Ivor Novello-winning singer, songwriter and producer, as well as label and publishing company owner, will be honoured with the MPG Inspiration Award, while one of the world’s leading mix engineers and producers, Mark ‘Spike’ Stent will receive the Icon Award.

Camille Purcell MPG AwardKAMILLE (Camille Purcell) will receive the MPG Inspiration Award.The Inspiration Award recognises extraordinary talent that inspires others. This year’s recipient, KAMILLE, is one of the UK’s most accomplished hit-makers, with songwriting credits spanning over 31 billion Spotify streams, eight billion YouTube streams and six UK number-one singles. Her work with artists including Fred Again.., Dua Lipa, Stormzy, Kylie, Little Mix and David Guetta has earned her a Grammy, a BRIT Award, multiple BMI Awards and an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection in 2023, making her the youngest Black female recipient. 

KAMILLE said, “I’m honestly so honoured to be receiving the Inspiration Award at the Music Producers Guild Awards 2026. It really means a lot to be recognised by the producer and engineering community, because that’s my world and I have so much respect for the craft. I’m always trying to push myself creatively and bring other people through with me, so this feels really special. Super excited to celebrate everyone’s talent, hard work and dedication on the night too!”

Icon Award

The Icon Award is a prestigious honorary accolade from the MPG, recognising an individual whose work, influence and impact are widely acknowledged throughout the music industry. Mark ‘Spike’ Stent, celebrated for his dedication to crafting mixes that realise an artist’s vision, has worked with legendary artists including Frank Ocean, Lorde, Bon Iver, Wolf Alice, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Björk, Olivia Rodrigo, KLF, Ed Sheeran, Muse, Gwen Stefani, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, U2, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Coldplay, Oasis and Lewis Capaldi.

Spike said: “I’m genuinely so honoured to receive the Icon Award from the MPG. I’ve spent my whole career surrounded by such brilliant artists — both new and established — and I’ve always felt incredibly lucky to be part of their music. To be recognised here by my peers, people who really understand the graft and the obsession that goes into making records, means a great deal to me. I’m truly chuffed, and very grateful.”

This announcement comes ahead of the full 2026 MPG Awards ceremony, which will take place on Thursday 16th April 2026 at The Troxy, London, E1 0HX. Tickets are on sale now.
