Native Instruments have announced the release of Music Production Suite 6, a bundle which contains over 30 plug-ins from NI, iZotope and Brainworx. The headline feature of the latest version, however, is the inclusion of new versions of Ozone, Nectar and Guitar Rig.
Ozone 11 Advanced
iZotope’s popular mastering toolkit has been kitted out with a range of new features aimed at artists and audio professionals alike. A new Clarity Module helps to combat ‘dull’ mixes with spectral processing, whilst an AI-powered Stem Focus feature makes it possible to apply processing to individual parts in a problematic stereo mix. New modes have been implemented that allow processing to be applied specifically to a sound’s transient and sustain elements, and an Assistive Vocal Balance tool helps to ensure that vocals sit perfectly in a mix.
Nectar 4 Advanced
The latest version of Nectar houses a collection of plug-in’s which promise to make it easier than ever to achieve professional-sounding vocals. An Auto-Level module is described as a transparent alternative to compression, and a Vocal Assistant page offers simplified acess to the suite’s parameters, helping users dial in their ideal sound without getting lost in the details. Vocal layering help is provided by a Voices module, and an AI-powered Backer module makes it possible to generate virtual background singers.
Guitar Rig 7 Pro
NI’s effects and amp modelling package has also been updated, and comes loaded with an expanded collection of sought-after guitar and bass amps, studio effects and pedal models — four new amp models and five new effects have been added with the update. Over 100 new rack presets are included, with users also able to mix and match modules to create their own unique sounds, and four new lo-fi processors have been added. There is also a new Cabinet IR Loader, making it possible to import custom impulse response files for use alongside the plug-in’s amp models.

Compatibility
Music Production Suite 6 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or 11, and Macs running macOS 10.15.7 and above. All of the plug-ins are available in VST3, AU and AAX formats. Please note that VST2 versions are no longer provided.
