On the Rekord

ESI Pro have released a new compact, stereo hand-held recorder, dubbed the Rekord M. Featuring a pair of near-coincident condenser mics, an onboard speaker, a quarter-inch jack mic input and a stereo line input, the Rekord M is capable of recording WAV and MP3 files, at up to 16-bit/44.1kHz PCM quality.

Thanks to its impressive 4GB of internal memory, the maximum record time at CD quality is 6.15 hours, and battery life is quoted at 15 hours when recording, and five hours when playing back. File transfer is achieved via USB, and the device is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X. Due to be shipping later this month the ESI Pro Rekord M will retail for £129 including VAT.
