Schwabe Digital have announced that their popular Gold Clip plug-in will now be known as Gold Clip Pack, and will include a new, free add-on plug-in called Gold Clip Track. The company say that they’ve been paying attention to how users are putting the original plug-in to work on their projects, and have developed the new add-on to make it easier to process individual tracks.
Gold Clip Track provides users with a packed-down version of Gold Clip that has been optimised for use on single tracks rather than full mixes. It boasts a simplified set of controls, benefits from lower CPU usage and perhaps most importantly, manages to bring the plug-in latency down to just 5% of the original plug-in. So, while the original, fully featured version remains the best bet for a session’s master bus, the new offering provides an ideal solution for adding some saturation to individual tracks.
Gold Clip Track will be exclusively bundled with Gold Clip, and will not be available for purchase separately.
Compatibility
Gold Clip Pack is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or 11, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
Pricing & Availability
Gold Clip Pack is available now, and those who already own Gold Clip can upgrade their license for free. All new purchases will now be sold as the full Gold Clip Pack, with perpetual licenses priced at $249, and Rent To Own licenses available for 10 monthly payments of $25. The company are currently (20 November 2024) offering a $50 discount as part of their Black Friday sale.
