SD-D Chorus & Custom D Chorus from Slate Digital

Two new Roland-inspired plug-ins announced

Slate Digital SD-D Chorus Custom D Chorus Roland Dimension effects plug-in

Slate Digital’s Virtual Mix Rack already includes a wealth of mixing tools, packing over 40 analogue-inspired processors into a single, intuitive environment. The latest addition to the collection differs slightly to the existing line-up, and sees the company introduce the collection’s very first modulation effects.

The first plug-in, SD-D Chorus, faithfully recreates the iconic Roland Dimension D, a popular effects unit that was originally released in the 1970s. Slate Digital have included all four of the original device’s operating modes, and allows users to combine them to experiment with new and interesting tones, as well as offering control over the intensity of the effect — something that wasn’t possible on the original hardware.

The latest arrival also comes bundled with Custom D Chorus, a second plug-in that comes equipped with a set of additional parameters that provide more in-depth control over the effect. Additional settings are provided for controlling the depth, delay and rate of the effect’s LFO , adjusting or bypassing the high-pass filter, altering the shape of the LFO, or even randomise it to create unique-sounding results.

Compatibility

SD-D Chorus and Custom D Chorus are supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and later. VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Pricing & Availability

SD-D Chorus and Custom D Chorus are available now as a bundled perpetual license, priced at $149. They are also included in the All Access Pass and Complete Access Bundle subscriptions.
