Softube have announced the release of the Model 82 Sequencing Mono Synth, a software recreation of one of the most-used monosynths of its time, the Roland SH-101.
Softube say that the Model 82 expertly recreates the original circuitry and workflow, capturing the original sound and interactions of the instrument. The sequencer and arpeggiator sections have been carefully modelled and made “DAW friendly” to bring modern programming capabilities to the classic sound. The layout will be familiar to many, with the UI based around the panel design of the original instrument. In addition to recreating the SH-101, Softube have also added some new features to enhance its capabilities, including stereo doubling and drive controls.
Two versions of the plug-in are included with a purchase, the instrument itself, and five modules for use with the company’s Softube Modular plug-in.
The Model 82 Sequencing Mono Synth is available now for an introductory price of 79 Euros$79 until July 31st 2022, after which it will cost 99 Euros$99.
