Sonuscore Time Textures Expanded is the latest edition of their popular instrument and sample library that provides composers and producers with an extended set of samples and tools designed for crafting evolving soundscapes.
Building on the concept of the original release, the new instrument blends high-quality orchestral samples with algorithmic processing, taking the concept even further thanks to a greater selection of instruments and some powerful new features. The number of instruments has been increased from 25 to 37, with new additions including Orchestral Brass, Solo Violin, Solo Viola, Solo Cello, Kamancha, Alto Kamancha, Gheychak, Bass Gheychak, and Bass Tar patches. The amount of preset sounds has also been extended, with Time Textures Expanded offering over 150 new built-in sounds.
Along with the new content, the instrument has gained a number of additional features, including:
- New Flow Slider: Blends legato transitions seamlessly into textures, creating organic chord progressions with naturalistic legato streams.
- Updated GUI: Redesigned interface with added sustain pedal support for more intuitive sound shaping.
- New Effects: Additional effects to further deepen and enrich soundscapes.
- Larger Sample Content: 22.13GB of uncompressed sample content, compared to 6.17GB in the original Time Textures.
- Improved Modulation: Refinements to the modulation system for even more nuanced control over sound evolution.
- Exclusive Legato Feature: a unique natural legato effect not available in any other virtual instrument, allowing for smooth, organic transitions between notes when holding chords.
The original Time Textures instrument remains available, providing users with two different versions catering to different needs and budgets.
Compatibility
Time Textures Expanded requires Native Instruments Kontakt (or the free Kontakt Player version) 7.10.1 or higher, which is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 12 or higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available, along with a standalone application.

Time Textures Expanded is available now, and is currently (21 October 2024) being offered at a reduced price of $179 (usually $249). Owners of Time Textures can upgrade for $49.
