Soundtoys have announced that their popular Little Plate reverb plug-in is currently available for free until 1 December 2023.
Little Plate models the sound of the legendary EMT 140 plate reverb unit, promising to capture the sound and vibe that made the device popular. It also expands on the capabilities of the hardware, offering a much longer reverbs than the original hardware’s five seconds — with the Decay Time parameter set to infinity, Little Plate’s reverb tails never fade away — and includes a built-in Low Cut (20Hz to 1kHz) dial to help keep low frequencies under control.
“After the release of SuperPlate earlier this year, we thought it the perfect time to give everyone a chance to experience the original (and still awesome) Little Plate plug-in. It’s an amazing-sounding reverb that’s become a staple of many pro users. We’re constantly hearing how much people love the EMT 140 sound, modelled on the plates in our collection," - Ken Bogdanowicz, Soundtoys CEO and lead designer

Little Plate is supported on PCs running Windows 7 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.12 and above. It is available in VST2, VST3, AU, AAX Native and AAX Audiosuite plug-in formats.
Little Plate is available now, and will be free until 1 December 2023, after which it will return to its usual price of $99. Those who download it will also be offered a discounted upgrade to SuperPlate or the Soundtoys 5 bundle, which will soon be reduced even further in the company’s upcoming Black Friday Sale.
