Sign the petition for Tinnitus funding
Last week was the British Tinnitus Association's (BTA) national tinnitus week, but you can still support the association and learn more about the condition by visiting their web site, www.tinnitus.org.uk.
Currently, there is a petition on the web site of the Prime Minister which asks for action on Tinnitus, and should send a powerful message to the British government about the subject, and hopefully help to protect future generations. Click here to sign up to the petition.
Tinnitus affects an amazing 10 percent of adults in the UK: over 5 million people. And it's often people in the entertainment industry that suffer. High-profile Tinnitus sufferers include nightclub owner Peter Stringfellow. "I hadn’t even heard of it, until one day, I began to notice a ringing in my ear. It’s something that’s never gone away. I wasn’t surprised my ears were damaged – I’d spent many happy years in bars and of course, my own nightclubs but it was a frightening discovery all the same."
So, to show your support, and to learn more, visit the BTA's web site.
