Freelance illustrator and games designer Ste Holmes has a penchant for creating artistic renditions of classic synths and drum machines. Since gaining popularity on social media, he is making moves to turn these beautiful illustrations into a coffee table book called Synth Art Vol 1.
"Most designs seem to end up on tees or travel mugs but I wanted something different for Synth Art. I really wanted to see these designs in a hardback coffee table book and thought it would be a nice addition to any studio.”
His playful illustrations feature all sorts of pieces of vintage and modern gear ranging from the Minimoog Model D, TR-909 and Buchla Music Easel (pictured) to the Elektron Digitakt and Teenage Engineering OP-1.
