Tascam’s Hi-Res Editor gains Apple Silicon support

Software adds new merging & splitting options

Tascam Hi-Res Editor DSD WAV software Apple Silicon native support

Tascam have announced that an updated version of their DSD and WAV editing software — which is said to be an ideal tool for users of the company’s DA-3000SD recorder — is now available. The latest version of Tascam Hi-Res Editor introduces some new merging and splitting options, and is now natively supported on Apple Silicon processors.

Those working with new Mac systems will be pleased to hear that the software will now run natively on Apple Silicon processors, and also supports notarisation, which ensures compliance with the latest macOS security standards and allows the computer to recognise the software as safe — it also allows the installation process to proceed quickly and without security warnings.

The update also introduces two handy new features: mono-to-stereo conversion, which allows a pair of mono files with the same audio format, sample rate and bit depth to be combined into a single stereo file; and stereo-to-mono splitting, which as you’d imagine, does the opposite!

Compatibility

Tascam Hi-Res Editor is supported on PCs running Windows 10 and above, and Macs running macOS 14 or higher.

Availability

The latest version of Tascam Hi-Res Editor is available now from the Tascam website.
