Vintage have announced the launch of a new collection of modelling amps that recreate a range of sought-after classic sounds and include a set of built-in effects. Available in 15W and 25W versions, the new Retro Series offerings also feature direct USB recording to a computer or mobile device.
Both versions of the amp offer a choice of eight amp models: Recto, PV51, SL77, Lead, Tube, Plex, Jazz and AC. The 15W variant is equipped with Gain, Tone and Master Volume controls, while the 25W version swaps out the Tone control in favour of a two-band EQ. Both include a selection of built-in effects, with the 15W model offering a selection of four processors (Delay, Phaser, Chorus and Reverb) and the 25W model boasting six (Chorus, Flanger, Vibrato, Delay, Reverb and D+ Reverb).
Along with a pair of 3.5mm mini-jack sockets that offer cabled headphone and aux input connections, each model features a rear-panel preamp output as well as a USB port that offers 24-bit / 44.1kHz recording directly to a computer or compatible mobile device. Exclusive to the 25W model is the Electronic Rhythm Module, which provides backing/accompaniment playback that includes 30 built-in drum sounds and offers control over level and tempo.
The amps have been designed primarily for home and studio use, although the range also includes a 1x10 cabinet that can be paired with either model to create a portable live rig.
