Limehouse Studios have just announced a very generous offer: every month, they’re giving away a free full day’s worth of recording with their Senior Engineer, Neil Williams. Williams’ impressive credit list includes work for Simply Red, Vanessa Mae and Ray Davies, and in addition to being an established engineer and producer, he’s also a highly accomplished trombonist, pianist and bassist. Naturally, the studios are well equipped and highly specified: a Pro Tools HD rig with Digidesign C24 controller forms the heart of the control room, while monitoring comes from a selection of top speaker manufacturers including Quested and Focal. The mic collection is similarly well appointed (Neumann, Earthworks and Royer models are available, among many others), and the instruments available include a Drum Workshop drum kit, a Yamaha grand piano, a Fender Rhodes Mk1, various Moog synths, and both electric and acoustic guitars from Gibson, Fender and Martin.
