Pinnacle launch video contest
Video supremos Pinnacle, who are part of the Avid group, have launched a Europe-wide video competition, called Your Moment Of Fame, with a week for two in Hollywood as the top prize. Entries will be taken from all across the EU, and videos will be judged on scenario, direction and emotion. The entry with the best all-round score will win the grand prize.
In addition to this, judges from each region (of which there are 20) will award runner-up prizes to the videos that score highest in each category. These prizes will include products from Canon, Creative and Pinnacle.
The best news for Sound On Sound readers, is that there's a 'Music' category, so you can submit a video of yourself or your band playing (although the material must be your own original work). You can either use Pinnacle's simple and easy-to-use on-line video-editing package, or upload a file that's been edited elsewhere.
Videos must be 60 seconds of shorter, and must not be larger than 30MB. To enter, simply register (click here) and upload your video. Good Luck!
