Behringer launch 24-bit effects pedals

The new stomp box range

Just when we thought Behringer had exhausted even their prodigious new product capacity for one month came news of yet more — and jolly interesting they sound, too. This time it's a range 24-bit, 'Real Sound Modelling' effects pedals designed for guitar, bass and keyboard players.

Speaking about the new technology used in the boxes, Behringer's senior product manager, Jan Duwe, said: "Developing RSM pedals has been a multi-year program for us that has resulted in a platform on which we can develop in many directions. Our 24-bit hardware, firmware and software system will allow us to model many acoustic spaces, instruments and electronic modifications, at very little cost to the customer. One could easily be misled by the compact pedal form factor, but under the hood of our RSM processors you will find a lot of substantial effects for DJs, keyboardists and guitar-amp effects loops alike."

The Behringer RSV range includes chorus, phase shifting, flanging, reverb, delay, echo, octave, dynamic format EQ, acoustic modelling, rotary speaker, harmonising and synthesis modelling effects.

All feature 24-bit A-D/D-A conversion, rugged, impact-resistant, injection-moulded cases, sealed rotary controls, dual outputs for stereo or split-signal applications, ultra-brightOn/Battery LED and can be either battery or DC powered.

And here comes the best bit — they will sell for just £36 each.
