Universal Audio have a long-standing reputation in the pro-audio industry, both for their high-end hardware and their praised UAD software line-up. More recently, though, they’ve been making an impact in the guitar world thanks to a collection of hardware pedals and software modelling plug-ins.
Their latest release falls into the latter category, and provides recording guitarists with a wealth of amp, cabinet and effects modelling capabilities in one self-contained plug-in. Named Paradise Guitar Studio, the new offering combines a selection of the company’s acclaimed UAD guitar amp emulations with classic cabinets and mics, pedals and studio effects, all captured using their renowned analogue modelling.
The new suite includes the likes of the UAD Dream ’65 and Enigmatic ’82 amp simulations along with 35 different cabinet and mic combinations captured by top engineers in a world-class studio. An array of built-in effects are provided too, with over 25 modules covering everything from iconic pedals to high-end studio outboard. An intuitive, pedalboard-style layout helps users to craft their ideal tone as quickly as possible, and the plug-in includes over 300 presets that span everything from cleans to high-gain rock and metal tones.
