Universal Audio have just released the latest version of their Apollo and UAD software (v11.8.2), which brings with it improved versions of two popular analogue-emulation plug-ins. Both the elysia alpha compressor and SPL Vitalizer recreations have been treated to an overhaul, and both benefit from enhanced performance thanks to the use of Brainworx’ Tolerance Modeling Technology, as well as some functional improvements.

UAD elysia alpha compressor V2
- Get the marvellous 3D sound of a elysia’s flagship Class a mastering compressor, now with Tolerance Modeling Technology (TMT) by Brainworx for deeper analogue realism.
- Plug-in-only features including Mid-Side, Stereo Width, Mono Maker and Parallel Mix.
- Auto Gain gives engineers perfectly level-matched playback without having to monitor gain-staging while they mix.
- Scalable UI, improved transient response, low-end depth and stereo imaging compared to the original UAD plug-in version.
UAD SPL Vitalizer Mk3-T
- SPL’s original tube-powered enhancer gives mixes extra presence and punch, now with Tolerance Modeling Technology (TMT) by Brainworx for enhanced sonics.
- Shape low end or get silky highs using Drive, Bass and Mid-Hi Tune controls.
- Tube and Solid-State stages give masters warm analogue character or ultra-clean precision.

elysia alpha compressor V2 & SPL Vitalizer Mk3-T are supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 11 and above. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
