Native Instruments launch Circular

Turns notes or chord progressions into rhythmic soundscapes

The latest addition to Native Instruments’ Komplete line-up has just arrived following its recent announcement at Superbooth 2025. Circular is a polyphonic sequencer that’s capable of transforming single notes or chord progressions into rhythmic soundscapes, and comes packed with tools to help users quickly and easily craft cinematic sequences.

Designed by the same team behind NI’s renowned Straylight, Pharlight and Ashlight granular instruments, Circular features four independent sound layers and comes loaded with 160 sound sources. There’s a wide range of content that spans from sampled guitars and pianos to bowed metal and hybrid synth tones, and users are able to import their own samples, too. The instrument offers real-time control over pitch, filtering and effects, while its powerful sequencer provides per-step control of all synthesis parameters. All of the content has been optimised to take advantage of polyphonic aftertouch, too, so users of NI’s Kontrol keyboards and other compatible controllers benefit from a wealth of expressive control.
