The Evolution series has proved to be a popular addition to Native Instruments’ Komplete line-up, and the company have just announced the launch of its third member. Joining the acclaimed Lores and Fables, Odes is described as “a narrative instrument with rhythm at its heart”, and promises to help composers create moving, emotional soundscapes.
There’s an interesting selection of instruments playing their part in the latest offering, from piercing Mongolian horse fiddles to floating tenor recorders. Users able to create ensembles of three instruments, each of which benefit from an independent selection of looping rhythms and one-shot samples. NI say that the result is a living, rhythmic soundscape that feels immersive, expressive, and ready for the screen.

Compatibility
Odes runs in either Kontakt or Kontakt Player, and requires versions 7.6 or higher, which are supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 11 and higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available, along with standalone applications.

Odes is available now, and is being offered at an introductory price of $149£129 until 30 October 2025, when it will increase to its full cost of $199£179. Prices include VAT.
