The latest release from Best Service brings together a selection of string, wind and percussion instruments that promise to take users “into the sound worlds of past civilizations”. Said to be ideal for everything from film and game scores to ambient productions, Eduardo Tarilonte’s Ancient ERA Persia boasts a powerful modern interface that provides a wealth of control over the library’s sounds, and offers microtuning options that provide support for Arabic, Persian and Turkish scales.
Housed in Best Service’s Engine Player, the library comprises 28 instruments, and offers in-depth control over the likes of volume, articulations, legatos, glissandi and layers. Everything was captured at Eldana Studios in Dueñas, Spain, with all of the instruments performed by master musicians including Efrén López, Michalis Kouloumis, Stelios Petrakis, Jerome Salomon and Iván Karlón.
