Publishing house Sample Magic and audio college Alchemea have teamed up with Sound On Sound Editor-in-Chief Paul White to deliver a new week-long course based on his best-selling Producer’s Manual. First published in 2011, the Producer’s Manual has sold more than 10,000 copies worldwide.
Led by Jon Olliffe (Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, Jamelia, The Klaxons, Beverley Knight, Madness, Will Young) and with sessions from Paul White himself, The Production Academy offers an intensive and immersive masterclass in recording and production for just 12 people. Special guests are also set to feature, including MPG Mastering Engineer of the Year 2013 Matt Colton.
The hands-on course covers every aspect of modern recording and production – from tracking guitars, drums and vocals, through arrangement and mixdown to mastering.
