Arturia Origin Keyboard

Virtual analogue gets keys ribbon controller

French synth makers Arturia have unveiled the Origin Keyboard, a new instrument based on the Origin Rack but, as you may have deduced, with a keyboard attached.Origin Keyboard

The synth part of the Origin Keyboard is pretty much identical to the Rack model, and it sits on a hinged panel above a five-octave keyboard, and can be folded down when not in use. The keyboard features octave up and down buttons, mod and pitch wheels, and a freely assignable ribbon controller (which provided endless entertainment when we had one of the first models come through the SOS office!)

The Arturia Origin Keyboard is now shipping, and it carries a retail price of £2499. We’ll be putting it through its paces in an SOS review soon!
