The latest addition to Arturia’s MiniFuse line-up introduces a new portable audio interface aimed at musicians, streamers and content creators looking for a high-quality portable recording setup.
The MiniFuse 2 OTG is a dual-USB interface, and as its name suggests, includes USB OTG (On-The-Go) connectivity that allows audio from a computer connected via its main USB port to be passed directly to a phone or tablet. Its two inputs will accept mic, line-level or instrument signals — phantom power is available on both channels — while a pair of rear-panel TRS sockets offer a stereo line-level output; a headphone output is provided on a front-panel TRS connector.
As well as the main computer and OTG USB connections, the interface is also equipped with a USB-A port that allows a MIDI controller (or any other USB device) to be connected without taking up an additional port on the host computer. Routing is taken care of by Arturia’s MiniFuse Control Centre software, which makes it possible to share the interfaces I/O and system audio between the connected devices, and the MiniFuse 2 is equipped with a front-panel button to toggle its monitoring between the OTG and Computer connections.
