Following on from the announcement that their innovative DAW software is now available in mobile form for iPhone users, Hit’n’Mix have launched the latest major version of its desktop counterpart. RipX DAW 8 introduces a whole host of new features including new chord progression tools, dynamic Track Starters, loopable selections, new sounds and loops, 11 additional built-in effects and a number of other enhancements that aim to help users focus on creativity.
RipX DAW takes a unique approach to production, treating MIDI and audio tracks as one entity that share a common set of editing tools — when imported into the program, audio and MIDI files are converted to Hit’n’Mix’s proprietary Rip Audio format. It also features powerful set of built-in stem separation capabilities that have been met with widespread praise. If you’re not familiar with the software and how it differs from your average DAW, it’s well worth taking a look at our review in the May 2024 issue.

“Our vision for RipX has always been about empowering artists with a more natural and human way of interacting with sound. We designed this update with the goal of helping them tap more easily into their own creativity. When you’re locked into a project, losing track of time in your DAW, reaching a flow state… This is what makes music human. As music production technology continues to evolve, supporting creators to execute on their vision as easily as inspiration strikes becomes one of the most meaningful things we can offer as developers.” - Martin Dawe, CEO, Hit’n’Mix & RipX DAW Creator
