Audio-Technica have unveiled their new ATW-3255 3000 Series Wireless In-Ear Monitor system. Designed to provide an affordable and durable in-ear monitoring system that delivers a professional sound quality and feature set to performers and venues of all levels. The new system has been modelled on the company’s popular 3000 series wireless microphones, and features their highly-regarded ATH-E40 in-ear headphones with proprietary dual-phase push‑pull drivers.
The system is centred around a rackmount transmitter that features a large OLED display and front-panel controls, with a body-pack receiver containing a highly efficient headphone amp and offering either stereo or mono operation complete with pan or personal mix controls completes the setup. The system operates in the UHF band to ensure RF stability.
Network monitoring and control is available via Audio-Technica’s Wireless Manager software, with a cue mode that enables engineers to monitor several IEM channels from a single receiver. Control over EQ, limiter, gain and balance functions is also available, and a ‘3000 Link Mode’ provides compatibility with 3000 Series wireless microphone components.
