Audio-Technica have introduced the AT2040USB, a hypercardioid dynamic USB microphone and the newest addition to its 20 Series content creation products. This microphone combines the performance of the AT2040 dynamic microphone with straightforward USB functionality.
With direct connectivity to a computer, podcasters, streamers, and content creators have a simple solution without the need for additional equipment or cabling. The AT2040USB delivers up to 24 bits/96 kHz sound, thanks to its high-resolution A/D converter and hypercardioid pickup pattern that closely isolates the user's voice from surrounding noise.
The AT2040USB features a metal body with an integrated shock mount and internal pop filter for noise reduction. The microphone also includes a headphone jack for real-time monitoring, a soft-touch mute button that changes colour from blue to red when muted, and a mix control dial.
Audio-Technica include the necessary USB cable and adapter for easy setup. The AT8458a shock mount (sold separately) can also be used with the microphone to further reduce any additional noise from shock or vibration whilst in use.
