The latest additions to beyerdynamic’s extensive range of headphones see the company apply their expertise to a different industry, offering two new wireless headsets that have been designed specifically for gaming. Now officially available in the UK and Europe, the MMX 150 Wireless and MMX 230 Wireless cater to both casual and serious gamers, are also said to be well suited to general listening.
MMX 150 Wireless
The MMX 150 Wireless employs a pair of 40mm dynamic drivers, and promises to deliver an immersive experience along with precise spatial reproduction. a detachable Meta Voice mic boom-arm mic offers high-quality voice capture, and there’s an integrated sidetone function that allows users to hear their own voice through the headset. When connected via the included dongle, the MMX 150 Wireless boasts a latency time of 30ms, and there’s also support for Bluetooth 5.3. The headset is available with black and white finishes, and features replaceable velour ear pads.
MMX 230 Wireless
The MMX 230 Wireless steps things up a gear with premium 40mm drivers and Active Noise Cancellation. It’s also the first beyerdynamic headset to come fitted with a replaceable battery, and as its fitted behind the earcup, users are able to replace the part themselves to ensure the headset’s long-term performance — with a fully charged, healthy battery, the MMX 230 Wireless is capable of running for up to 60 hours. The model also boasts an Environmental Noise Cancellation feature that’s designed to combat background noise picked up by the built-in mic.
