ANALOGr are overseeing the online auction of the extensive collection of vintage and modern audio gear owned by Grammy-winning producer and engineer Bil VornDick, who sadly passed away last year aged 72. The proceeds of the sale will go to the VornDick family, with a contribution also being made to the Nashville Engineer Relief Fund (NERF), a charity which Bil helped to found.
Renowned for his hands-on recording skills in acoustic, folk, bluegrass and Americana genres, VornDick's recording career saw him work on over 600 albums, creating five number one hits across five different genres, as well as over 40 Grammy nominations and nine wins. He was also an active participant in the Nashville music community, taking on an extensive amount of advisory and instructional work for organisations such as MTSU, Belmont University, Folk Alliance International, the International Bluegrass Music Association, the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing and many more.
