Blackstar Amplification have teamed up once again with acclaimed blues guitarist Jared James Nichols to introduce the JJN 50 Signature Amplifier, the JJN 212 VOC and the JJN 50 Plugin. Crafted to deliver Nichols’ renowned ‘Bluespower’ tone, these hardware and software releases give guitarists the opportunity to experience his powerful sound in both studio and live environments.
Both the cabinet and amplifier are finished in Jared’s iconic British Racing Green covering.The JJN 50 hardware amplifier enhances Nichols’ signature sound with features like the unique BLUESPOWER boost circuit, providing rich harmonics and overdrive. Built on the foundation of the St. James EL34 50, it features an extended top-end frequency response and offers power versatility with switchable wattage settings.
The JJN 212 VOC Cabinet, equipped with a Celestion G12T-75 in the top and a lightweight Celestion Zephyr below, ensures a powerful audio experience. Both the cabinet and amplifier are finished in Jared’s iconic British Racing Green covering.
To complement the hardware amplifier, the JJN 50 Plugin features a state-of-the-art software amplifier designed by Blackstar's experienced R&D team. Building on their work for the Artisan and ID lines, the JJN 50 Plugin includes a suite of eight effects, allowing users to add character to their sound. It incorporates a variety of distortion effects, including Overdrive for smooth warmth, Bit Crush for a gritty, lo-fi feel, and Harmonic Distortion to enrich the overall sound. Additionally, it offers Stutter for beat repetition, Granular for complex sound manipulation and a punchy Compressor for dynamic control. The plug-in also boasts a robust cabinet simulation with custom patches.
