UK-designed Freshman acoustic guitars have been winning accolades in the past few years, representing some of the nicest production guitars that sensible money can buy, many believe. Now, in response to requests from customers filtered via their retailers, Freshman have just announced two brand-new Jazz semi-acoustic archtops, which should be in shops soon.
class="bodyf">Called the FJ1 and FJ2, the former features a sitka spruce top; maple back and sides; maple neck with rosewood fingerboard; ebony scratchplate and tailpiece; and a Freshman-designed pickup. The FJ2 has a flamed-maple top, back and sides; a maple neck; rosewood fingerboard with split-block mother of pearl inlays; gold hardware and tremolo; and two Freshman-designed pickups.
