Grace Design unveil m303 DI box

Company's first active DI box revealed

Grace Design m303 high-quality active DI box Lundahl transformers

In a bid to bring their renowned high-quality audio performance to wider range of musicians and audio professionals, Grace Design have announced the launch of their first active DI box. The new m303 utilises a cutting-edge power supply design that the company say yields a remarkable amount of headroom and dynamic range from 48V phantom power, and comes housed in a rugged chassis that will ensure it stands up to heavy stage and studio use.

As you’d expect from Grace Design, the m303 has been carefully designed and features high-quality components throughout its signal path, including custom-wound transformers supplied by Lundahl. It promises to make any direct instrument track sound detailed and alive with a robust-sounding low end and clear high frequencies, and boasts a galvanically isolated design to help combat noise.  It’s built to last, too, boasting a quarter-inch aluminium enclosure and recessed connectors, and the company back the design with a five-year warranty.

“The popularity of our acoustic stage preamplifiers has increased a lot in the last few years. So we wanted to configure the simplest possible version of these products that would be useful not only to artists, but also recording and FOH engineers, stage crews and production companies. When we started looking at transformers, we knew right away Lundahl was the choice. The m303 had to have not only great musical definition in the high end, but also a deep, clear low-end delivery that would make it very satisfying for Bass players. Because of this, the m303 does an amazing job holding its own against some very costly tube units we have compared it to.” - Michael Grace, President, Grace Design
