Sound-design innovators Krotos have been adding a steady stream of new content to their popular Krotos Studio software over the past few months, and the most recent announcement sees them deliver the first music-focused expansion. With the launch of Krotos Studio Music: Volume 1, the software gains 13 performable music presets that allow users to generate and customise backing music for their projects.
Music: Volume 1 is based around a similar set of tools to those featured in Krotos Studio’s sound-design modules, and aims to provide an alternative to searching through libraries in search of the appropriate music. With one of the 13 presets selected, users are provided with a set of controls that make it possible to adjust the track’s length, arrangement and instrumentation, as well as controlling the energy levels. The resulting track can then simply be dragged and dropped into the user’s DAW or NLE software.
Key Features
- Performable Music Presets: Access 13 fully customisable, royalty-free music tracks that cover a range of genres including orchestral, lo-fi, electronic cinematic and more.
- Real-Time Control: Adjust intensity, mix elements and overall dynamics on the fly.
- Seamless Integration: Drag and drop the generated music straight into a DAW or NLE.
- Limitless Duration: Extend or shorten compositions as needed, ensuring they fit each project perfectly.
- Broad Audience: From independent content creators and podcasters to professional editors and sound designers, anyone can tailor music to their specific needs.
“By integrating a music feature into Krotos Studio, we’re delivering the same real-time performance, creative control and high-quality results that our users expect from our sound effects tools — now extended to music. Our goal is to make adding music to video fun and fast, eliminating the need for time-consuming editing so users can focus on crafting the perfect sonic mood with precision and ease.” - Orfeas Boteas, CEO, Krotos
