Krotos have announced that the latest version of their innovative sound design platform, Krotos Studio, is now available. The update has been released in response to user feedback, and focuses primarily on enhancing the software’s sound effects generation capabilities.
Krotos say that whilst the software continues to cater to content creators in search of a rapid solution to sourcing sound effects for their work, the latest update will greatly benefit all audio professionals. Intended as an alternative to working with sample libraries, Krotos Studio provides access to over 100 presets across eight categories, and allows users to quickly create customised, royalty-free sound effects for their projects.
When being used as a plug-in, the software facilitates the routing of all generated sounds as separate stems within all of the major DAW software packages, allowing detailed editing and precise mixing of all of the content it produces. It is also possible to use DAW automation to control Krotos Studio’s parameters, making it possible to control the timing of sound effects directly from the project timeline.

Compatibiltiy
Krotos Studio is supported on PCs running Windows 10 and above, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and higher. VST, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available, as well as a standalone application. An internet connection is required for the software to operate.

Krotos Studio is available now, and is priced at $9.99 / month if paid annually, or $14.99 / month if paid monthly. For those who wish to try the software out, a free version with a reduced feature set and no time limit is available.
