The weekend of 27–28 September 2025 saw hundreds of electronic music enthusiasts descend upon Machina Bristronica to check out the latest gear, take part in a programme of discussions and check out a wide variety of live music. The SOS team went along for the weekend to see what’s new, and managed to get some overviews and demos from a handful of the event’s exhibitors.
Sequential Fourm
Announced in the week running up to the show, Sequential’s latest polysynth is not only their most affordable instrument to date, but also the first in over 40 years to come equipped with a polyphonic aftertouch keybed. Chris Calcutt gave us a quick overview of what’s on offer.

Rides In The Storm
There was no shortage of new and recently released modules at the Rides In The Storm booth. We stopped by to check them out ahead of some planned SOS reviews.
