Minimal Audio Stream: Cloud-based sample platform

First stage of new platform now live

Minimal Audio Stream online cloud-based sample library download subscription service

Minimal Audio have announced the launch of Stream, a new online platform which the company describe as a cloud-connected production suite. The service currently provides subscribers with access to the samples found in Minimal Audio’s collection of Sound Packs, and will eventually be expanded to include a dedicated instrument that allows for tighter integration with DAW software, as well as providing an all-in-one service that includes all of the company’s sounds, instruments and effects.

Minimal Audio Stream online browser-based interfaceStream's content can be accessed via a web browser.Minimal Audio say that in the lead up to the launch of Stream, they have spent thousands of hours creating and tagging content, with every aspect of the service designed in-house, with the goal of creating a service that will enhance musicians’ workflows and provide them with quick and easy access to their favourite tools and sounds. They’re keen to point out that the eventual aim of the project is not to replace DAWs or move music production into the cloud, but simply to offer the most effective way possible to access content.

Subscribers to the service receive 50 credits per month, and each sample provided by the service can be downloaded using one credit. Credits do not expire, and it is possible to unsubscribe at any time and still retain access to any downloaded sounds, whilst resubscribing will provide access to any unused credits that remain on the users account.

Stream requires an internet connection, and is compatible with all modern web browsers. All of the samples provided by the service are supplied as 24-bit 44.1kHz WAV files.
