Musio have announced the launch of an update which they say brings their self-titled application and plug-in one step closer to being the ultimate tool for composers in search of the perfect sound. With the latest version installed, the software gains its most-requested feature to date: Mic Position Mixes.
Rather than implementing the new capability using digital modelling, the company have decided to take a more traditional approach. As Musio has been built from high-quality sample libraries that were originally recorded from multiple microphone positions, the newly introduced mixer simple provides users with access to the individual signals rather than offering a single, pre-mixed option. The company say that in addition to developing the feature, their team has travelled the globe and captured unique culturally unique sounds in locations such as Reykjavík, Iceland and Cape Town, South Africa, ensuring that every mic position reflects the depth, space and authenticity of its original recording environment.

Musio is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.14 and above. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
