CopperSound Pedals launch the MOD Club Membership

New DIY subscription service for pedal builders

CopperSound Pedals MOD Club DIY guitar pedal building subscription

Following on from the successful introduction of their DIY line-up, CopperSound Pedals have announced the launch of the MOD Club, a new subscription service that will deliver curated, high-quality pedal-building projects to members’ doorsteps every month.

The company say that while the DIY pedal community has grown exponentially over the last decade, builders have faced many hurdles including sourcing the correct components, decoding complex schematics and struggling with a lack of easy-to-understand educational resources. The MOD Club has been developed to eliminate these barriers, providing DIY enthusiasts with a streamlined, premium building experience that keeps their breadboards active and workbenches stocked.

Members will receive highly detailed, educational builds like the 4 Stage Fuzz Cir-Kit. Rated at a level-four build difficulty, the Big Muff-inspired circuit does more than simply provide the components, walking builders step-by-step through seven distinct stages of breadboarding while teaching them exactly how the circuit works. Members will learn firsthand how diodes clip audio peaks to turn a smooth guitar note into a gritty fuzz, and how a tilt EQ filter can be used to scoop ‘boxy’ midrange frequencies for a more aggressive sound. The membership promises to offer incredible value for gear enthusiasts, whether they are seasoned soldering veterans or beginners looking to learn how their favourite effects work.

What's Included?

  • The Monthly Cir-Kit (Member Exclusive): Subscribers get the jump on new sounds with a brand new, unreleased Cir-Kit component bag every month. These are experimental designs fresh from the CopperSound lab — including fuzzes, drives and modulations — that are not available to the general public.
  • Private Build-Along Video & Guide: It’s not just a bag of parts; it’s a masterclass. Members can scan their code for instant access to a private video lesson where the CopperSound team builds the circuit right alongside them, explaining the theory and tweaks.
  • The Stash (Tools & Jumbo Novelties): Every box comes with between three and five mystery items to upgrade the builder's setup. This includes essential bench tools, handy components and CopperSound's exclusive Jumbo DIY Novelties — collectible giant components and desk candy found nowhere else.
  • Access to The Vault & Mod Club Dashboard: Missed a month? Only MOD Club members have the key to The Vault, allowing them to purchase back-catalogue Cir-Kits from previous months and other exclusive unreleased DIY exclusives.
  • The Golden Ticket: Every month, one random MOD Club box contains a Golden Ticket. The prize evolves monthly — if found, the winner receives a Premium DIY Prize of their choice (up to a $100 value).

"We're still learning every day ourselves, and we want MOD Club to grow right alongside this community, Noticing a lack of immediate visual education in the DIY space, we approached this as artists. Our design director built the visual language through the eyes of a musician rather than a classic electrical engineer, creating a model that takes the guesswork out of why a circuit behaves the way it does. While the deeper science will always be there, you shouldn't need an engineering degree to jump in and have fun. By designing intuitive guides — essentially the 'Lego' of guitar pedals and breadboards — we want to give people those same goosebumps we got when everything finally 'clicked’. We really hope these 'aha!' moments inspire other musicians to go down the rewarding rabbit hole of building and modding their own gear." - The CopperSound Team
