Korg have announced the microAUDIO series, comprising the microAUDIO 22 and microAUDIO 722, two compact USB-C audio interfaces designed for desktop, mobile, and streaming-based workflows. Both models offer 2-in/2-out operation with studio-grade conversion, with the microAUDIO 722 including a novel filter derived from the miniKORG 700s
Both microAUDIO interfaces support 24-bit/192 kHz audio and feature two combo mic/line/Hi-Z inputs with switchable 48V phantom power, along with balanced TRS outputs and a headphone output. Each channel includes assignable onboard processing in the form of a Noise Gate and either a Compressor or Limiter. These processors can be applied to both input sources and audio returning from a connected computer. Zero-latency direct monitoring is provided, with independent headphone routing and a Stereo Link function allowing paired channel control. Expanded routing and processing features are set in an upcoming firmware version update, scheduled for February 2026.
Both models include a loopback function for livestreaming and content creation, allowing system audio to be routed directly into streaming or recording software without external configuration. USB-C connectivity enables operation with computers, smartphones, and tablets, and the interfaces can be bus-powered or run from a dedicated DC adaptor.
The microAUDIO 22 is positioned as a streamlined interface for users seeking a simple, compact recording solution, while the microAUDIO 722 adds an integrated analogue filter derived from the miniKORG 700S. The filter offers Low-Pass, High-Pass, and Bypass modes and can be applied to live inputs or DAW playback, functioning either as a standalone analogue processor or as part of a hybrid hardware/software workflow. MIDI In/Out on the microAUDIO 722 allows automation and synchronization with external equipment.
Also exclusive to the series is Filter Ark, a bundled software plug-in that extends the hardware concept into the DAW. Filter Ark includes models based on classic analogue filters from the MS-20, Polysix, miniKORG 700S, and ARP Odyssey, alongside newer resonator and vowel-style filters, with flexible routing and modulation options.
Both interfaces ship with a software bundle including Ableton Live Lite, Native Instruments Komplete Select, and iZotope Ozone Elements. The microAUDIO 22 measures 150 × 128 × 68mm and weighs 407g, while the microAUDIO 722 measures 220 × 128 × 68mm and weighs 553g.
