New ReZo cymbals from Zildjian

Ever hungry for new sounds and variations, Zildjian have added a range of ReZo crash cymbals to their A Custom series that combine both new and old manufacturing methods.

Named ReZo after their special resonating qualities, these cymbals have a very distinctive look that features alternating bands of new spiral lathing and regular lathing patterns. The spiral sections have a Brilliant finish while the regular lathed sections have a Traditional finish, which further enhances the contrast between the two. The cymbals are medium-thin weight, with a new bell size for added projection, and come in 15-inch, 16-inch, 17-inch, 18-inch, 19-inch and 20-inch sizes. The regular lathed section gives a wash of bright overtones while the spiral section produces more of a fast crash sound, and they combine to give a high-pitched musical crash that Zildjian say is unique within the A Custom series.
