Orchestral Tools introduce Baroque Bundle

Berlin Harpsichords also now available on SINE

Orchestral Tools Baroque Bundle Berlin Harpsichords Miroire renaissance sample library

Orchestral Tools have announced that their Berlin Harpsichords collection is now available in their SINE Player format and are celebrating the release with the launch of a new bundle. Described as the ultimate toolkit for Baroque and Renaissance styles, the Baroque Bundle couples the new release with Miroire, the company’s collection of period instruments.

Berlin Harpsichords captures the sound of traditional French and Italian harpsichords, which have been recorded in multiple registers with a variety of playing styles, aiming to offer a flexible sound that will work for both vintage-inspired and modern compositions. As with all of the Berlin Series offerings, the library has been captured at the Teldex Scoring Stage, and so can be seamlessly integrated with all of the range’s existing products.

Miroire then offers a contemporary interpretation of 18th-century musical traditions. Modern and antique string instruments are present — some of which even feature gut strings! — and are joined by solo woodwind instruments such as Baroque flute and oboe, oboe d’amore and oboe de caccia, as well as four valveless trumpets and horn instruments. There is also a basso continuo section comprising a double bass, two celli, and a bassoon. Some voices are provided, too, with male and female choir sections complementing the period instruments. To add to the authenticity of the collection, all of the voices and instruments have been recorded at A415, but have been mapped half a step lower to ensure compatibility with modern tuning.

Compatibility

Both libraries are provided in the latest version of the company’s SINE Player, which is supported on PCs running Windows 10, and Macs running macOS 10.13 or higher. VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Pricing & Availability

The Baroque Bundle is available now and is being offered for an introductory price of €299 until 5 September 2023, after which it will cost €429. During the same period, the SINE version of Berlin Harpsichords is being offered for €79, reduced from its full cost of €99. As part of the Baroque Bundle offer, those who currently own Miroire will receive Berlin Harpsichords for free.
