Pianobook release their GAZE sample library, created in collaboration with Kady Alice working under the moniker Skyscape Paradise. Pianobook is a community of composers, producers and music makers who each make content contributions for sampling projects. Since it was founded in 2018, the site has become home to over 1000 free virtual instruments and paid-for sample libraries, GAZE being their latest release.
Recorded to tape through an array of vintage ribbon microphones and the vintage Neve 8048 mixing console at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, GAZE aims to capture the sound of the Olympia shoegaze scene from the state of Washington in the Pacific Northwest. The pack includes guitars, bass, a drum set and a collection of re-amped synthesizers and presets. Additionally, there are a collection of Olympia spaces for onboard convolution reverb including a cavernous swimming and diving chamber, a brutalist concrete stairwell, a vintage metal plate, and an outdoor amphitheatre.

GAZE can be downloaded now for £79 / €79$79 and is compatible with the free Kontakt Player from Native Instruments.
The free GLIMPSE version of the library, powered by the free DecentSampler engine, offers two powerful guitar patches, each with four unique signals including reverse reverb, a DI, an amplifier and a condenser room mic.
