PreSonus introduce Air XD PA range

Aimed at small to mid-size venues

The latest arrival to the PreSonus range introduces a collection of five new loudspeakers that aim to offer a powerful and flexible solution for small to mid-sized venues. The Air XD Series introduces a trio of main cabinets and two subwoofer options, all equipped with wireless stereo pairing, onboard mixing capabilities and a comprehensive selection of DSP tuning options.

Air XD Loudspeakers

Available in 10-, 12- and 15-inch variants, the new Air XD offerings all pair a custom low-frequency driver with a high-frequency compression driver, and promise to deliver deep, powerful low-end performance with detailed highs. Each model is driven by 1500W of Class-D amplification and includes a collection of onboard DSP presets, ±10 dB EQ and performance tuning modes tailored to speech, music playback FOH or monitor use — a full-colour LCD screen offers metering and system adjustment. All three versions offer a pair of mic/line inputs and an aux input, as well as supporting Bluetooth streaming and true wireless stereo capability.

Key Features

Custom low-frequency drivers paired with high-performance compression drivers that deliver up to 134 dB SPL with deep low end and detailed highs.
Enlarged voice coils in the LF drivers to ensure more efficient power handling and extended low-frequency response down to 40Hz, while the PEEK diaphragms in the HF drivers provide precise, ultra-durable performance with clear, detailed highs.
1500W of efficient Class-D amplification and onboard DSP presets, ±10 dB EQ, and performance tuning modes for speech, music playback, FOH or monitor use.
Onboard three-channel mixer with two mic/line inputs, 3.5mm TRS stereo input and Bluetooth input.
TWS Bridge Mode provides the ability to pair two speakers wirelessly for a clean, cable-free stereo setup.

Air XD Subwoofers

For situations that need a little more low-end, the Air XD Series also includes a pair of subwoofers. Available in 15- and 18-inch versions and with 2000W of power available, both are said to be capable of delivering powerful reinforcement while maintaining a clean, consistent output. Onboard DSP handles the likes of crossover filtering, alignment delay and cardioid/end-fire array presets, as well as offering a ‘Mo’ Bass’ enhancement designed to deliver some additional low-end weight. As with the main cabinets, the Air XD subs both feature wireless connectivity.
