Redmatica Compendium Pro 2

Keymap now compatible with Kontakt, Structure & NNXT!
Two years ago, Italian software developers Redmatica came out with Keymap, a product that stunned many users of EXS24, Logic’s built-in software sampler. Keymap brought to EXS24 a suite of sophisticated tools that enabled the user to easily build and edit sample patches, and create seamless loops from what seem to be benign and even ‘unloopable’ samples. Now, with the release of Keymap 2, users of Native Instruments’ Kontakt, Digidesign’s Structure, and the NNXT sampler in Propellerhead’s Reason can use the sample editor to create patches for their soft samplers.

The Keymap update is part of an overhaul of Redmatica’s Compendium: a suite of three applications designed for people who like to get tweaky with their software sampler. Like Keymap, AutoSampler v2 now has compatibility with Kontakt, Structure and NNXT (as well as EXS24, of course), and a new mapping editor makes it easy to create custom templates. Further additions include built-in auto-looping algorithms from Keymap v2 and the facility to multi-sample up to eight channels from audio devices on local and networked computers.
The other part of the Compedium, EXS Manager, has also been updated. Now called Pro Manager 3, it can read Kontakt, Structure and NNXT sample library patches and relink and reorganise the files therein. With Pro Manager 3, users can add metadata and export entire patches, complete with linked WAV or AIFF files, in a single file. For further information, visit the Redmatica web site.
