German live-sound manufacturers Dynacord have launched a powered wedge monitor that’s just as at home on PA duties or as a fill as it is at the front of a stage. The AXM 12A has a 33‑degree tilt angle, making it a suitable choice for smaller stages or, in a PA scenario, it can be easily stand‑mounted and configured with a powered subwoofer to create a three‑way system.
The monitor employs a coaxial speaker design with a 12‑inch and 1.75‑inch driver combination, and an onboard 520W Class‑D amplifier. This produces a maximum SPL of 128dB and provides 90 degrees of coverage in both horizontal and vertical planes.
The AXM 12A features integrated DSP, a digital three‑band EQ with parametric mids, a low-cut filter and a sweepable anti-feedback filter. A delay function for distances up to 100 metres allows the AXM 12A to act as part of a delay stack too. It even has 10 preset slots for storing settings, making it quick to reconfigure for different applications. It is available now and has a list price of £953.
