Sample Logic introduce Arpology X

Creates interesting, dynamic rhythmic patterns

Sample Logic Arpology X hybrid sample library arpeggiator rhythmic pattern software instrument

Described as the ultimate evolution of the arpeggiator, Sample Logic’s latest release promises to provide users with unparalleled flexibility and control possibilities. Arpology X features a dual-module X-Y pad interface that can be used to blend between sounds or control effects parameters, and also comes loaded with 549 multi-sampled instruments.

Drawing inspiration from the company’s Animation Station instrument, Arpology X includes four Step Animators that has been redesigned to offer an even deeper level of creative control. As well as being capable of creating a huge range of rhythmic sequences, they also communicate with the instrument’s performance parameters, allowing users to modulate their patches over time and create interesting, dynamic transformations.

The built-in library brings together a wide variety of acoustic and electronic instrument sounds, with a huge selection of categorised and tagged presets that make searching for the right sound as quick and intuitive as possible. Once sounds are loaded, users can blend between sources or manipulate the instrument’s effects from the dual X-Y pads, and it’s possible to load any preset’s source audio and effects modulation setup separately and combine them into new and interesting patches.

Compatibility

Arpology X runs in the full version of Native Instruments’ Kontakt (it will not work with the free Kontakt Player) which is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 12 and above. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available, along with a standalone application.

Pricing & Availability

Arpology X is available now, and is currently (29 August 2024) being offered at an introductory price of $150 (usually $299.99).
