...and now available worldwide
A new version of Humanoid Sounds’ innovative and unusual virtual instrument Scanned Synth Pro (SSP) has been unveiled. Version two has a different GUI design and new presets, as well as improved sound quality, but also packs new and useful functionality.
Audio can now be fed into the plug-in and set to trigger Scanned Synth’s hammer and mass modules, and a new envelope follower can scan the audio input and modulate other parameters accordingly. What’s more, a new Danger switch adds what the developers call “extra nastiness”.
Scanned Synth Pro 2 is available worldwide, including in the USA, which will come as welcome news to American SSP fans, as the original version of the plug-in was never available to US-based customers due to a patent dispute. These issues seem to have been resolved now and the instrument is even available in dollar pricing from Humanoid Sounds’ web site (it costs $100, or £52 in the UK).
